Dennis Cox
Dennis Cox began his career as a newspaper reporter and editor covering local and sporting events in Hamilton, MO. He was promoted to managing editor and served in that capacity for five years before accepting the job of sports editor, darkroom and pre-press technician at the newspaper in Gallatin, MO.
During his career, Dennis became a local history buff. In fact, during his stint at the Hamilton newspaper, he spent hours in the darkroom making photo prints from historic glass negatives in order to produce the first pictorial history book of Hamilton. A second edition was printed during the town's Sesquicentennial. Now, in 2024, it's time for a third pictorial history book.
Hamilton, MO: A Place of Pride and Progress is a bigger, better-than-ever history of the town that has become the Quilte Capital of the U. S. And Dennis worked tirelessly to bring the book together, taking new photos and tracking down vintage shots of the town he is so proud of, as well as finessing and writing updated snippets of history.

After he retired, Dennis was working on a walking tour of his hometown and reached out to Anne to see about re-imagining the history book they published decades previously. In online and phone collaboration, Dennis and Anne fell back into a familiar working relationship. They're both proud of what resulted from that creative endeavor.
