Betty Stinar Swisher is proud of her Scandanavian and Slovak heritage. This memoir details how she grew up in a house shared by another family and had a cold walk in winter to an outhouse. But she didn't feel her life was any different than other children who grew up during those Depression years. Betty eventually began living an almost charmed life with her husband Chuck, eventually landing in Kansas City where Betty explores a life full of creativity and personal growth. Even now, in her 80s, Betty has tackled the ambitious project of capturing her personal history. Her prose stories and delightful poetry leave a wonderful legacy for her friends and family.
